Sonar game (internship project)

This game was created as part of my internship during my third semester on my Masters programme in Medialogy. I completed my internship at the former Danish game company called Art of Crime, where I got to feel what it was like being part of a live development team, and learned about the dynamics of a team with many different professionals.

The game I got involved in was called Huxville, and was a MMO targeted pre-teen children. The game was set in a detective universe where players navigate a simple 3D environment with multiple smaller islands and talk to the various characters. The game is quest driven, but players can engage in more traditional gameplay elements such as fighting enemies, buying weapons and playing smaller 2D games. The game I created was such a 2D game, implemented in Flash.

Unfortunately the company has closed and the game is therefore no longer available online, however a limited version can be played here.

How to play:
Move mouse to move sonar
Left click to use sonar (Listen after the return ping to determine the hidden object)
Num 1-5 changes between the different sonar sizes

When you find a fish, you should get it on the hook! Watch out for the electric eels!
